Support Machinest Jack

Supporting a long barrel or stock on a drill press or small mill can be challenging. Drilling for pins or lock bolts for those of us that use such equipment, a little outboard support can be helpfull. I was tired of stacking wooden shims. Decided to make a support jack with double screw thread adjustment.

Jeez, all I use is an old sizzor jack.

John, you must have a small sizzor jack, but if it works it works!

Craig now that is being inventive! I would think my lights would get in the way.  🤣

Nice little jack, but what really caught my eye was the plywood covering the worktable.  I can see all kinds of ways that could be useful when fastened down.

Baltic birch. Nice and stable and protects the table from me being clumsy. Just a small wood lug glued on the bottom to fit the t slot and good to go.
