Hi all!
Start building a replika of the first musket model build on the the Norwegian Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk in 1825. Its based on the Swedish mod 1815 musket. In photo on top the Swedish m/1815 and bottom is my scrath build m/1829.

All joking aside, this will be a really cool project. I can't wait to see how you fabricate the brass barrel bands.

Hi all, and thank you guys! The wood is birch as the original.Barrel and ramrod , I use elektrik power there I can cant get hold of ELBOW GREAS here in Norway only gas and oil haha>

Thanks Runar I can think of a lot of uses for that diminutive saw. Might even pick my nose with it Lol. Checking out prices on it.
I have a Swiss made Bosch Jigsaw I bought in 1984, it is still running strong. Bosch is making a lot of their tools in China now, and the quality is spotty. Metabo tools used to be Hitachi and are excellent tools.

yes, Runar, some very nice work there!

I'll be looking for one of those miniature chain saws too. I could get into all sorts of trouble with one of those!

I always forget about making a 'bending jig' for springs, but after the 3rd or 4th try, I remember that a jig would have saved me some work.

Hi all! And thank you taterbug! Lock in stock, see the hammer safety have a stopping pin backside who stop in the stock. In M/1829 they move it to the lockplate

Looks as tho you might want a bit more space between the top of the safety catch and the hammer.

Think about winter and wearing warm gloves. Might be a bit awkward releasing the catch.

You do some mighty fine work!

Hi all! Butt cap done, this M/1825 cap has 79 angle degrees and the soldier complane hevy recoyl therfor M/1829 has 72 angle degrees !
