Hospice Gun Raffle
« on: September 06, 2024, 12:24:42 AM »
With the amazing success of last year's Hospice rifle raffle giveaway, we've decided to donate another gun.  This time it's one of our new fowling pieces.  This is actually the first fowler we put together.  So, here is the link to participate:

I'm sure many of you have had friends or family who have benefited from the amazing work of Hospice.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim, I am sure this is a very worthy cause.  Can you tell us how the winner will be determined?  By a State lottery number or something similar, or by a drawing?

This is all taken care of by Rally up.  I'm sure it's some sort of computerized random selection.

I'll get on my soap box now...  We used this online method last year and I believe we almost made 40k for our local Hospice.  It works well, is painless and helps generate money for worthy causes.  In our little gun world I still see others trying to use tickets sold at shows etc.  In my view this is the equivalent of carving a stock with a sharp rock.  In a number of cases we've forwarded all the necessary information and instructions to others so they could potentially use this same process and they've chosen not to.  If not using an online platform, you'll probably only make 1/3 of what you would otherwise, but many are so set in their ways and so distrustful they let this money lay on the table...

Frustrating to see...

Jim, your hospice raffles are by far the easiest I have seen, couple clicks and it's done.  With my luck I have no chance at winning but why not try and put a little money toward a worthy cause?  I appreciate you doing the hard work and helping others.

Done. Sent mine yesterday.

Hospice is a worthy cause. Wife died in 2007, father a few years ago. They were very helpful in both cases.

These raffles are for a worthy cause.  I can't make the shows.  So this money spent on buying some chances aids the cause and is way less than that spent going to a show and just looking around.
