Used Banded Horn
« on: December 27, 2009, 02:13:14 AM »
Not including the stopper it is about 11 1/2" around the outside curve. The Cherry base is about 1 3/4" and is held in by 8 steel pins.  The antler tip is pinned on and is about 1 3/4" X 5/8. The three remaining bands are of turned horn and are held on by two steel pins each. This horn is very thin and can easily be seen through.

Very neat horn Tim. That is a great, usable size. I really like the shape of the tip and the base plug.

Tim, great looking horn.  You indicate this is used, have idea how old or who the builder was?  In either case, looks very well made.  Great find.
