What's  the best way to ship a muzzleloader

Plywood box like Kibler does. Then USPS. Others may have a different approach.

Be mindful of weight, dimensions, and distance to destination. USPS refuses shipping over a certain length. Insurance is a waste of your time and money. If damages happen they'll likely refuse to pay.  Others builders I've talked with seem to have figured out affordable dimensions/weight for boxing. I would be embarrassed to admit how much my 1st shipped gun cost to send from NC to my sister in MT. If you can drive it that's safest.
