Lobed Horn

I had not made a lobed Powder horn in a while, so I decided to make one. Just finished today, Horn # 66 is a nice size; 14" along the bottom. The base plug is dyed and burnished Poplar.
I kept the decorative motifs more linear on it. It has a nice Folk-art feel to it I think.

It's so funny, when I put the horn down on the table to work the designs and decorations, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what I am going to do. It just happens (some better than others).

Thank you guys very much. I’m certainly enjoying creating these and have a lot more learning and skills to develop. Biggest one is my patience with myself.
