Trigger Guard Idenity.

Hello, Can anyone identify this trigger guard. It is from Ephriam White's Shop (1850s) in Waldoboro, ME It is 3/8" wide & 5/8" on the bottom of the loop. Photos below.

With slots for two triggers, I'd say a double rifle or shotgun.

That extra tab on the bow suggest to me continental Europe.

Yes,a double barreled gun and the lug to guarantee a good  thread and the single one is equally as obvious.Many years ago I made some for single triggers and installed the guards which were nice style with a finger loop and I wish I had kept one.This was about
50 years ago and I THINK they went to Wes Kindig in Lodi,Ohio.

It's very similar to one I have from a Belgian made Parker only mine doesn't have the trigger bar.
