Halbach and Son pistol
« on: October 06, 2024, 04:44:16 PM »
I had posted asking about the possible origins of this antique pistol here earlier. Thanks to a friend in another forum, I was able to identify a well-used flintlock pistol which I purchased (on that forum) and knew nothing about. It turns out that it can be attributed to Halbach and Son, Baltimore, between the 1780’s and 1830’s, who produced many secondary martial pistols, of which this one seems to represent.
It is exciting to learn that. Now I can only imagine what it’s life was like in the old days.
