WTB 45 Flinter
« on: November 20, 2024, 07:33:08 PM »
Hey y’all! First post here, so it’s fitting that it’s one to get me equipped.

I’ve been shooting some cap guns these past 2 years, but the itch for a flintlock has grown to be too much lately. So, I’m looking to get a decent deal on a flintlock 45 (the wife wants to shoot, but the 50 and 54 I have are a bit much for her). Gunbroker has been wild as of late, so I thought I’d check here.

The criteria are:
-Pennsylvania/Kentucky/Southern Mountain rifle style
-32” barrel at least, would like 35+
-Good condition is a plus, however, I just want a good shooter
-I would like to keep it between $500-1200

Whatever I end up with is going to end up in the deer woods, so I don’t want a safe queen.
Lemme know what ya got!

Most of my flinters are 40 and smaller, or 50 and larger.
Couple percussions in 45
Thanks, Dave

If your wife turns out to be left handed, I have just what she needs.

Hello, I have a 45 I guess you could call Pennsylvania style that has been probably shot 20 times.  It was a Pecatonica kit I believe.  Anyway, I am not really into shipping so where are you located?  Face to face would be great.  I live in Owego NY.  I would want a firm $800.

Fortunately, the wife is “correct” handed. No southpaws here.

That’s a bummer, I’m in Central, MT. Buddy of mine has a Pecatonica under hammer he loves. Good rifles.
