Do Iron Nitrate solutions have a shelf life?

I.e. does Iron Nitrate in liquid solution break down, come out of solution, cease effectiveness, etc over time? I would hate to find out by ruining a nice piece of curly maple.

Stan, as long as the lid is screwed on well, the solution will work just fine.

I’ve got some over 25 years old which still works fine. It’s kinda like brine. It’s a salt solution. What can go bad?
