FS: Kuntz Rifle by Watson
« on: February 11, 2025, 01:30:45 AM »
Copy of a Kuntz rifle by Wayne Watson.  Gun made in 2010 but remains unfired.

Barrel is 50 caliber, 44-inches and is octagon to round with a browned finish. Barrel is wedge-pin fitted with 4 escutcheons to a curly stock stained dark brown. Fancy thimbles and entry pipe hold a tapered ramrod. Stock between entry pipe and trigger guard has a large brass wear plate. Wrist has elaborate checkering. Wonderful patchbox with a hidden release in the toe. All of the brass is engraved. Photos hardly do the gun justice.

I had the lock tuned, a white lightning vent installed and the face of the breech polished by Brad Emig at Cabin Creek Muzzleloading.

Asking $6250 including shipping.  PM for any questions, additional pictures or details.

I am fortunate to have a couple of guns by Watson, all are beautiful and I very much enjoy shooting them.  From a couple other rifles I have found that my long lanky arms don't go well with this stock architecture for shooting, and I don't keep guns I don't shoot.  Figured I would leave this one unfired and the next owner can decide.  It is ready to go, with a lock tune and the octagon to round barrel I imagine will be a nice handling gun.
