Relic Lock ID help needed
«

Relic lock that was found in the wilds of Quebec Canada. Only markings I can make out are on the back of the bronze pan. Lock plate is 6 1/2" long.
Likely of French origin.
Any information is appreciated and thanks in advance

Looks to me to be a French model 1777 musket lock. Similar to US lock from the 1816, but the brass pans on those are slanted and this one is straight. Others more knowledgeable will join in the discussion. Wormey

You are correct. There's not much left of her, but enough for someone to recognize I hope ☺

A German Gentleman on another forum suggests it might be "Swedish Infanterie-gun M 1738. This gun had a flat lock with a flat cock and a brass pan" and I think it fits. ☺
thanks again for you input and help
