FS. Dixie Gun Works Tennessee Mountain Rifle 50 cal. flintlock

This is a shortened Dixie Gun Works Tennessee rifle in 50 caliber. The barrel is 15/16ths in diameter and 34 inches long with a 1/56-inch twist. Much easier to tote and balanced to shoot offhand for ladies and teenage kid than the standard length. It weighs 7lbs 15 oz. It sports an L&R RPL lock that sparks great and is quick firing. Removable 5/16 x 24 touch-hole liner. Includes the forged touch-hole pick. Steel nose cap and dark browned finish on barrel and lock. Very good and shiny bore. California sights. Rifle is sighted in at 25 yards using 45 grains of Goex 3F and a stone washed canvas .018 patch lubed with bear oil and a .490 ball. With this load it centers up on a standard 50-yard offhand target also.
