Thanks guys, but a little clarification is in order.  That gun was assembled and the tang carving was done by Mike Gahagan.  I then took over, did the polishing, finished the stock, and did all the engraving.  So, it is a combination of efforts much in keeping with the way those guns were made in England in the period except several more craftsmen would have been involved.

Jim, The whole gun leaves me speechless, so I will comment on one part only. Your engraving is as nice as I have ever seen, Just beautiful, in composition and execution, your name in cursive, alone, makes me think you must have an angel at your elbow.

Wow, that is English engraving!!  Beautiful gun. I new you were old but I didn't realize you had apprenticed with Griffin and the boys in London!!    Maybe you should raffle it??  Only way I could afford it I am sure.
