I saw a gun on the Track of the wolf site built by Brent Gurtek,# AAH-556,that I think I have fallin' in love with. I have a remarkable piece of wood from Tiger Hunt and would like to use this gun as a basis for my next project, any idea's where I can get a plan profile of this gun?

Not sure if it fits your bill, but Pecatonica offers a precarved Lehigh kit.  Check out their website.

Your probably going to have to make your own pattern. There are two ways to to this. For either method your going to need a known dimension say the leght of the lock plate or butt plate.  You can then take the photo and , 1. use math to determine the scale and dimension off the photo or you can 2. blow the photo up using a copy machine.  Now using the copy machine sounds super easy but beware, copy machines even the ones that enlarge in 1 degree increments stretch the image unequally so one deminsion can may be right but the others may be off.

Ehoff,I was thinking that too, always lookin' for the easy way out. I guess i can use the lock as a reference point to extrapolate the rest of it. Thanks.

Eric Von Aschwege has prepared a totally bang-on drawing of a Lehigh rifle.  Ask him if he'd send one to you.

Get ahold of Brent, he may send you a pattern. Nice young fellow. He really doesn't follow an established pattern of an original Lehigh. He has his own very distinctive style!

Hello,
Pecatonica will use your blank.  If I'm not mistaken they do both styles of the Lehigh.  Check out the on-line catalog.  Good luck.
