Thank you guys for taking the time for all the pictures and all your help. You just do not know how much it is appreciated.
There is no lowering the barrel that I can see. The lock mortis was cut a little low. It took quite a bit of time to get the barrel, lock, trigger, sear and flash liner to work together. There was too much pressure on the sear from the trigger. Had to do quite a bit of manipulating to get it right. Right now it is good and solid and working perfectly. If I drop the barrel any at all it would put the flash hole dead even with the flash pan or possibly below it. I can see from here on out this is going to be a balancing act to get from the nose piece back to the breach area and keep it pleasing to the eye. The only good thing right now is I have some room to cut down the barrel channel rails as it approaches the breach and lock area due to the mortis being so low. By eye balling it, that will put the barrel rails and nose piece on the lower ½ of the barrel all the way down as in the pictures Taylor sent over. I am not near it right now but from what I remember that is how it should come out.
Thanks again for all he help. Man this stuff is just plain fun.
