When was the gun built?

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

When was the gun built?

In the 70s maybe 1980ish Don just reacquired it and did some rework. Refinish and taking dents out of the patch box from a PO overtightening the screws. The rifle had apparently been wet.
Its the rifle that was for sale on TOF a few months back if you can get into their archives it should be there. Friend bought it then traded it to Don for "Kings Ransom".
I have not taken many pics of it. Don was shooting it down at Cody and I took a pic of the buttstock while it was lying on the bench since it looked so nice.

Don spotting for another, much younger Marine.

Dan,
Might the swivel breech in the last photo be yours?

Yeah I need to start engraving it but I am chicken. I have 3 guns on order right now so I guess I should get it done.
The new Marine is mine to, or was till he signed the papers.

Palm trees give it away I guess.
The base is just fantastic. If one is not in boot camp.
I was drafted into the Army years back and I am glad he chose the Marines.

And after discussing touch holes, liners and such, can also set you up with a good mini gun show if you have the time!

I should have given people a little more of a heads up for my own edification if nothing else. But it really was Daniel the younger's time. I missed a phone call from one member from shutting my phone off and not remembering to turn it on again until it was late.
