Allen Coon's Hog Shoot
« on: March 15, 2010, 04:42:05 PM »
Myself and four other friends attended Allen's hog shoot this last Saturday down in southern Indiana. It was a wee bit wet so nobody shot for score and to warm-up for the York shoot. We still had a grand time visting with old friends and making new ones . Allen and crew had four hogs to cut up for the shooters and several jumped right in and helped getting them cut and wrapped. There was around fifty paid shooters so numbers were wrote down and you drew a number and that was the position you drew your meat .Most everyone got four draws off the table. I just want to thank Allen and everyone who helped to put this on. Sure hope the York shoot is a little dryer.  Eric D. Lau   Riverdale Mi.

Eric......I went thru the same thing at the Hog Shoot, drew numbers to determine where you stood in line.   I remember
one shoot that was terminated after 7 shots due to rain and snow, I think I came in 2nd or 3rd on that one.   I was going
to come out and visit at this years shoot  but the weather forecast was just too much.   I was curious as to how Allan was
doing with his new knees?   Any report there?.......Don
