New Single Band Powder Horn
« on: March 31, 2010, 10:56:22 PM »
Well gentlemen this is my attempt at a Virginia style single banded horn, with applied antler tip.  Overall length with stopper is about 15 in. along the outside curve.  The base plug is cherry and about 2 1/2 in. diameter.
The last pic is my new touchmark.  Any comments, good or bad, are appreciated.
Gary

Nice work Gary, I really like the tip design and color. The touchmark is neat too.

Where does the tip stop and the stopper start?

Mark, at the end of the third ring on the antler.  I must have been feeling a bit like a puzzler.  ;D

Nice horn Gary. I really like the tip shape. Did you get that from an original VA tip?

Thanks guys.  Jeff, I can't say I copied the tip off a Virginia horn; more like a composite of some elements I've seen someplace.
