Big bore barrels.

I would like  to try a really BIGBORE.
Something like 14-16-12bore.
I could not find who sells barrels bigger than .62.
Would you please let me know some sites that offers them.

You might put a 'wanted to buy' post on the 'for sale' section. I am always surprised what shows up.

  Check with Ed Rayle, He used to do things up to a 4 gage....

Joe Williams at the Gun Works makes a 4 bore barrel and usually has one or two on hand at his shop in Springfield OR. they are on line at www.thegunworks.com . I was checking their site and found that they have .69 rifle barrels listed but know that Joe will custom make a barrel for you. I found some .69 barrels at thegunwork that would work.
There are bigger bores but i think .72 will be the max., Do not have much elephants here.

I'm not ready yet to get the barrel, just want to know where can I get them.
Asking here at sell/buy section it is a good idea too.

Ed Raly and Joe Williams (The gun Works) make them up to 2 bore.
I have used them both in the past for 8s 4s and 2 bores and have been impressed with their quality.  Joe can't make them very long, but Ed can, so I have used more from Ed Raly, but both make good barrels.
Whey you say you want to try a big bore, do you mean you ant to try building one, or shooting/owning one, or both?
I have made quite a few in 8 bore, and a few in 4 and one in 2.  So if you need pointers, let me know.

Thanks for all the advises and info.
I made a smooth bore 12bore "rifle" some years ago.
It shoots fine at short range, I did it just to feel how was to shot a big bore.
It was similar to the Zephyr (underhammer).
I would like to try a rifled BB, I do not know if i will make another underhammer or a sidelock yet.
Just want to know where can I get the barrels.
I'm limited by cost, because i have 50% importing dues. Well, the first $25.- are duty free .

Check out John Taylors web site.  He has a mortar that shoots bowling balls. That's a big bore.

You might also try Rice - but they may or may not be into the big bores yet -   We had a good chat at Dixon's.
They are willing to make shallow rifled, slow twist barrels for use with non-toxic balls - perhaps California is just the start of something very bad and these barrels will become very important in that event.

"Non-toxic balls"         that sounds very strange.   

 even a chunk of play-dough at musket velocities  would be lethal, or is this one of those non-lead deals?
 gonna be a real bear trying to cast copper or brass balls---or any other non-lead substitute on a home/personal use basis. 
 having to shoot store-bought non-lead RB will get expensive very quickly

Yes - it will be expensive - but then, it's for hunting only, so far and only in California.  All iron, bismuth, tungsten, etc shot is called non-toxic.
