Has anyone heard of Fred Crissman?  I knew him long ago and was wondering if he is still around or still making guns.  His guns were beautiful.  He was located in the Pittsburgh area.

I am from that area, and have never heard his name mentioned in the bunch that I shoot with. I will ask around.

It has been years (early 70s) since I have seen him.  I know that he married a woman that was into making jewlery and they got into that fairly heavy.   He may have quit the longrifles way back then.  We had a good source of parts in Pittsburgh at Antique Gun Parts, but I believe that they are long gone also.  There was an older fellow close by where I lived that made longrifles also.  I believe his last name was Sutter.
