Another Picture Posting Question
« on: June 03, 2010, 02:54:13 PM »
I was going to post a picture of my latest creation but the photos turn out fuzzy when enlarged so that they can be seen.  Also the sizing seems limited.  Using Photo Bucket and am finally able to get things going.  Want to be able to post more photos in the future.  Using Auto on the camera.  Admit the camera is not the most expensive but it has done better.   Used Acer's tutorial.

DP, If your camera has the capability, adjust the settings to take the highest resolution pictures possible.
Then reduce the picture size instead of enlarging it.

On my camera, I take the picture at a setting of 2560 X 1920. Then using a resizing program, or Photobucket, reduce the picture size to 800 X 600.

One of the most common causes of blurry photos is the Auto focus. The gun will be blurry, but the background grass or carpet is in perfect focus.

If you can get into the camera controls, change the focus from auto focus to Center focus.

Showing these two pictures of the same thing for reference.  I think I see one problem with the top one.  I do not claim to be a photographer but I agree that a picture can save a few words.  having trouble enlarging them.

I posted the better pictures under squirrel rifle.  Appreciate the advice and could use more.  Mostly I took a few pictures and posted the better ones.  Maybe thats part of it?

If you are following all of the above suggestions and are still having a problem, try a tripod to reduce movement in low light.    Speaking of light,  the more light, the better unless it is behind the subject or throwing distracting shadows.    Assuming you are using the camera correctly,  these two things will fix a lot of problems.    It is very hard to make up for poor light even with all the technology that you can throw at the picture.    Believe me, I know, I have taken a lot of bad pictures when I didn't properly consider the light.
