Flintlock or Percussion? How about both?

This punt gun has a really unique ignition system:
Skip to around the five minute mark, where the camera focuses on the lock. I suspect that it is an old flintlock partially converted.

Interesting that it has twin percussion caps as well.
Got a little scary when the old man stood in front of the barrel with the decoy after the missfire.
