horn I just finished tonight( pics after aging added)

This is a horn I just finished up tonight it was to be blck But somhow it came out purple at least thats what it looks like to me .. The horn is 12 1/2 " outside curve the base is 2 3/4" diameter the base plug is cherry and is hollowed out ...

well I put it into another mixture of RIT dyes and used some walnut stain right afterwards when it was still warm

After I use yellow rit dye,  I like to use potassium permanganate.    It mellows out the yellow so it doesn't look so artificial.
