I have a 54 in a nice pc. of Freddy Harrison walnut but it is third in line to be built. I am interested too. If it is anything like the last Rice I used I am not worried a bit.  :D I have ran a patch and she is smooooth.

Where do you get these barrels?  Not seeing them advertised anywhere including their website.  B, C, D diameters?

Rich,

You buy them directly from Rice.

They were posted on the old site by Eric Kettingburg for months, I'm guessing Feb.- June. He was trying to get enough potential buyers together so Rice would run them.

Rich,
I would call or email Rice Barrel company. I ordered one at the CLA show and Jason told me when they would be making another run but I have forgotten. Seems like its was 6 or 8 weeks. I think they had quite a few of the next batch already sold so if you want one you need to get your order in.

They had them in stock at Spring Friendship. I ordered one there as I did not have the cash on hand. They were happy to take my order and deliver to Dixons. Sent it home with Fred Miller and got it back at the CLA all nestled  in a nice pc of Freddy Harrison walnut. Great looking barrel. Round bottom rifling, excellent outside finish, and a slick a bore as I have ever seen. Really nice job.

I was just wondering if people were satisfied with them. I guess no one else can build a gun at hyper-speed like Don can so we'll have to wait a little longer for range reports.

I have my barrel and a fine piece of curled cherry I got from Wayne at Dixons.  I just haven't decided what to build with it.  It will be mid winter before I get to it.

Thanks for the replys,
Bill
