Navy Arms 12 Ga Double Shotgun

Just bought one and discovered that both bridles in the locks are broken (white metal). Any one know where I can get some or do I have to make them?

If I remember correctly Navy arms imported both Pedersoli and Pietta shotguns. First determine which one you have and attempt to contact the manuf. via the internet. Often times they will give you the part that is broken. Or check this website.;....Ed

By the time you jump through all the "hoops" and their feeble replies you could have built a whole lock

Already called Navy Arms. VTI, Flintlocks Inc and checked on the internet. Navy got all of Piettas parts back in the 80's and none left.

For a mere $155 each,
http://www.vtigunparts.com/store/
will sell you a right or left hand percussion lock for Pedersoli double shotgun.
Dunno if it fits.

Any chance of silver soldering thebreaks? Might be strong enough to hold and if not you haven't realy lost much.

A friend of mine has had several Navy Arms Doubles and on almost all of them has had to replace the bridles. He makes the replacements. Bridles are pretty easy to make.

Turns out they are pretty easy to make. A trip to the hardware for some 1/8" steel and 6 hours later for drilling sawing and filing and I have 2 new bridles.
