was goofing of tonight in the shop

I was in the shop just goofing around tonight and made these two things a flat horn its 6 1/2" long and 1/2" thick it has  a horn base its held in with copper pegs the container is 1 1/2" high has a wood base held in with four steel pegs the top is friction fit ..

Heat them in lard and then press them takes a few times in the lard and vise to get them to flatten out ..Oh yeah and alot of scraping to begin with to get the side even ...they say a book press works great got to look for one of them ...

  great looking work on both those items Ed.  Goofing off can be very good for your craftsmanship sometimes. Gets you doing things with no pressure that you would otherwise stressout over and probably screwup.
