Short answer is.......no.   Reason...." who would want one".  There is no real market for them.

If you think you would not have to bother with the cleaning, think again.........stainless or not, you,ll still have to do it.
Barrel makers don't want to use the stuff, terrible to machine.............Don

Off the top of my head I'd say to try Badger - Lilja - Shaw - Krieger - Douglas I don't recall right off hand who all does bigger bores & octagon profiles ... I hope any of those bbl makers who aren't making it through the election result mush in my head tonight forgive me - omission is unintentional.

I have only seen one in my lifetime & it was done by Jim Goodoien.  I would call Long Hammock, Mark DeHaas, or some of the other makers & see if they will take the job on for you.  It will probably cost more than their other products, but if you want one & are willing to pay, then more power to you!

You might also look to the guy's that shoot heavy bench (slug) guns.. Some of them are using Stn.Stl. It's in the round though.
   Just more food for thought...

Naphtali,
Can you give us a hint on what you're building? I've heard from the smokeless crowd that they(stainless bbl's) perform excellent and your post has caught my interest.

I suspect you could get a blank, bored/reamed but not rifled from any of the benchrest rifle barrel makers i.e. Hart, Shillen etc (I know Clay Spencer here in VA would sell you a blank most any way you want it) They use, at least used to use, 416 stainless which is a good machining stainless. Many of the makers used cut rifling (at least in the 1980's when I was shooting) so one of the muzzleloader barrel makers (i.e. Hoyt etc) should be able to rifle it for you.

If you want to explore buying one of the blanks email me at tdg23113@verizon.net and I will give you contact information.

Problem solved.

Next problem to solve: Who can complete/finish my flintlock parts [and??] render everything into my rifles? I typed "rifles" as a plural because the goal is to have two .72-caliber flintlock rifles, not just one.

As I type, my thought is to have one rifle emulate the configuration of one of the M1803 Harpers Ferry rifle variations, the other to be full stocked, perhaps similar to Baker or Jäger configuration. I'm just so happy to be off the dime, I haven't given finished configurations nearly the thought it deserves.
