The Ultimate Smoothbore Pouch? Now Finished
« on: October 18, 2008, 10:23:20 PM »
I just completed stitching the bag body of a "smoothbore" pouch. It can also be used as a rifle pouch. No, it's not the ultimate smoothbore pouch. I just thought that would get your attention! The bag will be aged and dyed medium brown and of course straps, buckles and d rings will be added. The main compartment is 8" heigh and 9 1/2" at the widest part. The pouch has a compartment with a flap on the front and an exact compartment with a flap on the back. The inside smaller pocket is the same size as the compartments on the front and the back. The bag is made of vegetable tanned leather. All edges are trimmed in leather. There is a weeping heart lead weight sewn in between the front flap and the leather liner of the flap to give weight to the front flap. Lots of work has gone into this one so far. What do you think?
