I'm a new guy who just landed here. I wanted to brown my Great Plains Rifle and reshape the stock. I started with PLUMB BROWN and did all the furniture but not the barrel. It was alllright but not quite as good as I wanted. So I got some barrel brown from Laurel Mountain Forge and tried that on the barrel and underlug. WOW!!!!!! What a difference!!!!Turned out just beautiful, very even and just the dark color I wanted. Only problem is that now I have to redo all the other parts cause they just don't measure up to the Laurel Mtn. finish.Wish I had listened to the good advice I got before I started on the project. Thanks for the good advise and I'll be listening a little better on my next project. Frank
