Thanks Ed, I do feel fortunate. My dad was one of 13 and they all did well preserving several keep sakes.
I look at this as a tool to make tools, homesteading back then had to been a tough time!

i just retired 2 years ago, if i show my favorite tool/tools, chances are you would not know what they were. i am not a gun builder, but a professional transmission rebuilder for over 40 years. i wish i had the skills you men possess,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Wolf,
Did I get a note from you some time ago and a picture of a nice long rifle with one of my locks on it.Years ag I made bearings from special grades of bronze for a lot of automatic transmissions ans reconditioned stator supports for others,mostly AAMCO and a local shop owned by a friend.
