A composite fusil

I finally got one done! I thought I would share it.
Its a composite fusil, Yet unfired.Various French parts of iron and brass.
Barrel is 44" 16 gauge with a silver front site,11 " to the wedding band,no flare at the muzzle.
American walnut.
Weight is under 7 lbs. A very nice gun to carry

Nice job on the inletting of the butt plate on that one Alex.   I have always found that style butt plate to be a real PITA to inlett.   It just looks too pretty and clean,  a composit musket would have been made of various and sundry "used" parts.  You gotta drag it arround and put some milage on those parts----:>)

Yeah, that buttplate was a pain,I had to reshape it as it was too wide for my wood.
the part of it that wraps over the comb was a patience tester.
The new owner would not let me drag it up the drive with the tractor to help "age"it. I think he 'll have it dented up enough in a short time.
