Bucks Co. Pa. Rifles
« on: January 29, 2011, 07:23:44 PM »
Here are some pictures of two Bucks Co. rifles I've built that I'd like to share. Both rifles will be on display and for sale on my table at the Lewisburg Artisan's Show on Fri. and Sat. Feb. 4-5.

The first one has a Green Mt. 40 cal. 13/16x42" barrel and a Siler lock. LOP is 14 1/4"

The second rifle has a Colerain 50cal swamped 44" barrel and Chambers Golden Age lock with Davis DST and 14" LOP.

Thanks for looking and hope to see you at the show.

Will you tell us what the prices are, or do we have to wait until the show ?

Loco: #1-  $1250
          #2-  $1600

AL:  44-40 cold blue left on for a week or two till it is well rusted- then carded off on a wire wheel. Close up it looks more brown than blue like an old blue job with brown patina.

Hope to see you all at Lewisburg.

Very nice. I love the lines on those Bucks Co, guns. I have one drawn out on paper with the barrel, wood and Siler lock kit on hand. (need more time) I based my plan on some John Shuler pieces. Any one know any history on this maker?
