Lehigh's are one of my favorite styles and yours adds reinforcment to my likes, its a great looking gun and the crafsmanship looks great too. Did you try to stay close to a certain maker?   Gary

So now that you're done are you ready to build more ash stocked guns or is that it?  All of the ash I've ever worked with gave new meaning to tough.

sweet -  a graceful piece.   :o

like some others, I don't know the finer points of the style.
what stood out to me was the blued bolt heads on the tang and sideplate, while the screw heads on the buttplate appear to be left bright.
Maybe that's the style  ??? - it just kinda stuck out to me.

well done !

Gary trapper,
The profile is from a Moll rifle. Other than that I did not try to copy any one gun.

Paddlefoot,
Yes I would do another ash stock somewhere down the road. It may take me a while to forget what a PITA this one was but I am happy with the end result.

I wondered if you had had enough. It really is a fine looking gun and the wood makes it something extra special.

Now that is a nice little rifle!  I realy like the incised craving and design and the popping brass furniture. popping- that is a good work for it - thanks for sharing.

Wow, If it were mine I'd probably try to fill the grain on that Ash a little more but it's just an awfully nice rifle. Yeah I might play with the trigger too. Well done sir. How did you manage to get the sights so close on the first outting?
Good ol Bow knows a powwow lady! ::) Hey Bow do I see cast on to allow for your skinny face ::)  She's a sweet piece alright; but what do I know I'm only the 210 lb monkey in the room. ;D

No cast on Roger. Just the light and shadow in the pic of the top of the comb kinda makes it look like there could be some.

Took her to a shoot this weekend and did not shoot bad with her for the first time out. Shes a little light for target work at just a hair over 7lbs but should be a joy to carry in the woods.
