New Stuff
« on: February 24, 2011, 06:45:06 AM »
We thought you all might enjoy seeing some of Maryellen's latest work. These are a couple of more primitive shot pouches she did recently. The groundhog tail bag was shown on the Contemporary Maker's Blog a couple weeks ago, but here it is in case you missed it! The nice little paneled horn was made by Tim Crosby.

This second set was made FOR Tim Crosby, although the horn was a "stunt horn" for a photo shoot - Tim has probably paired it up with a nice one of his own by now.

I'm sure she'll appreciate your comments -  She has some neat stuff in the works right now, be sure and stop by our table at Dixon's or the CLA show this summer to see what she has been working on .

MaryEllen,

You dun good. I made a bag using the same end of a coon for a good friend of mine and then on using the face for another friend, I like them.

My set is Outstanding! Maryellen does a Great job. The knife Ian made for the set is without a doubt the neatest knife I have ever owned, the handle is horn. The overall workmanship of the set is unbelievable. I am working on a horn for it now and will post it with the bag when it is finished up, I hope it will do it justice.
Also Thanks Again for pairing my horns up with your bag sets. I have gotten to the point where a horn just doesn’t look right until it has a bag with it

Ian and Maryellen
Pam is doing straps for me on her inkle loom. I'll have to show her these when she gets home. I'm sure she'll love to see them as much as I do.
Ian, Rase showed me your knife last weekend and we both love it.

Thanks, Everyone for you wonderful comments.  I enjoy making the bags and Ian and I come up with what we think are good combinations.  (Thanks for the horn contributions, Tim!!)  That's where you comments are very useful.
Thank you again, I will keep on trying!!!
