Pivoting patchbox lids
« on: March 10, 2011, 12:02:17 AM »
Harris raised the subject of these lids, but I didn't want to hijack the thread. I've seen both metal and wood rotating lids, but never thought much about where these were found. North Carolina was mentioned, but were they also found on, say, Pennsylvania guns? I also don't know time period. Any information appreciated.

So far as I know, these are pretty strictly limited to one region in N. C.
