1. Set your camera to its lowest resolution (quality). This mode is more than adequate for our needs and higher quality takes up too much bandwidth. Properly formatted files will seldom take up more than 150Kb each and may be sent as attachments in a single mail.
2. Photograph your gun on a neutral background. Gray or slightly off-white shades are highly recommended. Please make sure the backdrop is clean.
3. Remember that your gun is the centerpiece of the photo. Not furniture, not feet, not hands, and not your back yard.
4. Photograph the piece as follows:
Butt to forward of lock on all sides.
Signature on barrel top flat.
Muzzle detail.
Butt plate.
Full side views.
5. No multiple rifles in one photograph.
6. Include as good a description of the gun as possible.
7. Forward your series of photos to <parifles@earthlink.net> or <nordata@earthlink.net>.
Submissions falling outside these general rules cannot be processed as the editing time for each photo has become excessive.
