pictures of Chambers: PA Fowler RK 6
« on: November 20, 2008, 02:03:15 AM »
Would like to get some pictures of one of Mr. Chamber's kits, the PA Fowler that have been built by the pros here on forum.  IF, it is not too much trouble.  There are some out here, but surely there are more.

Many thanks!

Take a look at Mike Brooks web site: http://www.fowlingguns.com/

He has been said to be among the pros on this forum!  :o :o ;D  He has shown us a number of Chambers' fowler kits in the past. He does his own quite well.........some of the nicest fowler architecture out there.

Good luck

I believe Cody,"Evil monkey", built one of Chambers Pennsylvania Fowlers. Cody should be able to post some pictures.

Yes Randy, I did build one of the PA fowler kits for my Dad a few years ago. However, the request was for "pictures of one of Mr. Chamber's kits, the PA Fowler that have been built by the pros here on forum". As the builder, I don't meet the criteria and pictures of my meager efforts might give the wrong impression of what the PA fowler kit is capable of becoming :-\.

As usual, "Evil" is being modest.  I"ve seen pictures of the PA fowler his "meger efforts" produced, and it's impressive!  It's a great kit, and in the hands of a good builder it comes out as a very fine firearm indeed!

Though I'm no expert, I submit these pictures of one I built for Leatherbelly.  Hope they are of use.

Taylor,

When I first opened it I got a message that said the pictures or video had been moved - but after a few seconds it cleared up and all the pictures appeared normally.  Looks fine now.  Never seen that happen before though - so don't know what it was al about.

I have found that Photobucket from time to time gets little glitches.  When I first tried to post the pics, I copied them from Photobucket, but when I went to paste to my ALR reply, it would not paste.  It took several trips back and forth before it said all was a go, but obviously it did not go.  Photobucket changes their format on a regular basis, and there is a little bit of a learning curve each time to get things right.
Sorry, didn't mean to highjack this thread...  and thanks for the compliments.

I gotta tell ya Taylor, You do good work! Really  nice job. I'm trying to finish my PA fowler in LH and it has been very slow going. Working on the final details before I finish her up.  I hope mine turns out half as nice as yours. This is my first cherry stock and I'm finding out that the carving has a tendency to chip and break loose  ...Geo.

George, I'm sure it will be every bit as nice and more.  Leatherbelly likes it, and it is a great shooter.  If he sells this one, the marriage will be over.  Ha!
