antler powder measures
« on: May 17, 2011, 02:56:54 AM »
I have a couple of white tail sheds and would like to make a couple of measures. I'd like to know what I could use to seal the inside of the horn once I have drilled them out. This one shed has a very porous pith, you can see light thru the end. I could drill it out and plug it with wood, but I was thinking of maybe shelac or real thin glue to seal the inside. I think bees wax would be too thick. I did a search and came up empty. The piece in question is from the middle of a tine. Thanks in advance.... JZ

Krazy Glue- Build-up a to a smooth surface and stabilizes it at the same time.

Thank you Mr. Moderator for directing my post to the correct forum.  G. Hansen,  your suggestion for Krazy  Glue makes perfect sense. I knew there was a simple solution, you just have involve the right guy.      Thanks again,   JZ
