Hawk-eyes rifle

i was looking through knob mountains stok wood,,I run across the hawk-eys rifle from the movie,Last of The Mochians,,wich was a nice style but was wondering is this a real correct style of a pa.longrifle. It does lean towars the lehighs,,or maybe even reading,i suppose ,,anyone add something to this,iam looking to build a new rifle,and was thinking of the allentown/bucks countys as them and lehighs are a favroite of mind but this one caught my eye,,thanks,mickey

I think its basically a conglomeration of a few styles of guns ranging from the  mid  1700 to the early 1800's. more the producers idea of what hakeyes gunn shoud have looked like.but if you like it ,go for it.

    The gun was discussed at length in the last couple months, with lots of good information about it.  A search should turn up that thread.  The gun is not a copy of anything, but what the director of the movie thought it should look like.

WOW! thanks this did give me some info,i did not know.As for a rifle,i like the more of what-they did-carry-back-then. Always liked the mental thing of iam using what they did,even though,,know one else cares what i shoot game with, so once again I do thank eveyone for this input,Iam sure glad found this site.
