I don't check ALR that often these days, but when I saw Marc's rifle on the Contemporary Makers Blog, I had to come over here and leave a note of congratulations. It seems that Marc was just starting out a little while ago; and now he has produced such a nice rifle with so much custom iron work. I would be proud to have made such a rifle and now the competition has raised a notch. What I particularly like is that Marc made something unique; that was just his own. It is a step beyond the constraints of just historically correct. That is the thing I like about doing southern iron mounted rifles. The originals were eclectic and that gives us modern makers a little more leeway in our creative expressiveness. Congratulations, Marc, on this work!
