Diluting Dangler stains

can they be diluted with rubbing alcohol?

I would use denatured alcohol.

I use denatured because rubbing alcohol sometimes has even worse additives..... Grain alcohol would be best  :o :o ;D

Rubbing alcohol has a lot of water in in. It will raise your grain. Stick to wood alc. or if you can get it 200 proof Grain alc.  ;D but there are better uses for that.

I use denatured all the time.  I normally stain every stock once with a very thin coat to make scratches show up. 
Failure only comes when you stop trying.

I also use denatured alchol. I was told rubbing alchol has a lot of water in it. Bob
