Crowning the muzle?

What angle is the proper crown radius for a muzzle?  I have been looking at two different .32 flintlocks for the grandkids... one having a very long barrel and have been contemplating buying the long barreled rifle and cutting it down to 24"- 28".   The long barreled rifle is $200 dollars cheaper.

 The oldest grandkid is only 12 so the short barrel is justified.  I can get the barrel machined and crowned for free all that is required is the data.

Any comments appreciated.

I don't think it matters so long as it is evenly done and highly polished.

.45 degrees is pretty much the industry standard. .60 degreesmay make loading a trifle easier and not hurt accuracy. The main thing is concentricity and squareness. This must be cleanly cut with no trace of burrs.  BJH
