It's a pretty rifle.  A couple things made me think New York: the trigger guard and the pewter.  But they were used on half stock rifles, it seems.  Also a long barrel for NY.  So I don't think it is from NY.  Perhaps someone with knowledge of Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois styles would comment.  Thanks for showing it.
