Here's a pair of singing bird pistols. I don't think Colonial Williamsburg has the money or time to recreate these:

Twenty years ago a single pistol went for $1 million dollars. At $2.3 million and considering that the case is included, it's much cheaper today than it was back then. Remember, the dollar has devalued tremendously since 1990.

When I see things like this, I have to laugh at how 'advanced' we supposedly have become, and how 'crude' our ancestors allegedly were. How beautiful! Unfortunately, I think I'll have to pass on the purchase...
