Spanish Folding Knife
« on: July 14, 2011, 02:42:39 AM »
Picked this up at a gunshow this past weekend. Folding knife that's 11 inches in length open and a blade length of 7 inches. Has 4 coins on the horn handle that date 1852, 1853 and say "Isabel 2- Por La Gracia De Dios y La Const."
Not really my field but seems to be a Spanish folding bowie knife?
Any help with identifying this item and ideas on value would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Carl

Carl; Very nice find. Would be a hot item in this area. Turkeyfooter.

I don't know the value, I had a well known collector value it at $2500.00 +. I thought it was English when I got it, that's what happens when 70 year old eyes try and read the coins.
