Lehigh/ Bouchs county fowler

Hi,
I am in the early stages of building a fowler.
I have a nice 42" .60 cal. smooth bore, a good Lehigh stock ( maple) barrel channel and ram rod channel done, no lock or hardware installed.
I was thinking of a L&R   Manton lock, to resemble that on page 224 of Flinlock Fowlers by Mr. Grinslade.
This is going to be a keeper for me, so want to get it right.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd go with Chambers late ketland, correct for the period and a MUCH better lock.

Mike is right on the lock, go with the Late Ketland, that's a no brainer.............Don

I got a Allan lock off tip curtis at friendship, another of late ketland style to consider, its well made and had no casting flaws I could find, its filing up very nicely.
