« on: August 03, 2011, 08:10:48 PM »
Folk art piece by Wm H. Lincoln Shreckengost son of Lincoln G. Shreckengost
and grandson of Wm. Shreckengost.  Apparently the talent is genetic.
Sorry about the picture quality.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Depending on size, it sure reminds me of the ornamentation on some of the old shooting awards, plaques, etc.

A friend tells me that this is part of the face of a black forest german cuckoo clock and the rifle and horn were the part carved and added by the son of the gunsmith.
