Really a nice bag.  Would love to see the back of it too.  Can you add a photo of the back?

That's just nice.....Too nice.  Great job as always.  An besides being a good bag maker Frank is always willing to share his knowledge.  Frank even has patience for a slow learner like myself.  I had him explain the same shaping technique 3 years in a row to me.

That's a fine looking bag! My only comment would be that its too nice!!! I have to wonder how many  back woodsmen would have had the skill to make one that nice?
I would certainly be proud to own it but would be even happier if I had the skill to make it. Frank

You are assuming everyone with a longrifle was a backwoodsman.  There was a thriving middle class and a pretty strong upper class many of whom would have been equipped to protect, hunt and participate in shooting   contests.

It would be great if someone could convince Frank Willis to present a tutorial on making his excellent bags.

First of all, thank you all for your kind comments.  Jeff, thank you for posting the bag you purchased from me at the CLA show. Jerry, your comment on my work appealing to a more gentrified customer is just what I try to portray. I do spend a fair amount of my time teaching both leather and horn work. As cjarrett stated, I teach classes at the Jacobsburg Historical Society (the site of the Bolton Gun works - where the Henry's made guns for over 100 yrs.). The next leather class starts in Oct.. I am also available for individual instruction at my shop. Twenty four years ago my mentor told me, the only requirement for him teaching me the craft was that I pass it on to others. I took that seriously. Frank Willis
