R. Paris and Son were barrel makers until 1977 when we purchased their barrel making machinery.    To my knowledge
the never built a gun................Don

With no other name other than Paris and Son , is there any way to tell who made this rifle? It's a copy of John Armstrong's work Rifle is a flint lock in perfect shape with perfect wood and inlays, exterior of barrel has rust. Any way to put a value on this?

Post a picture of the rifle if you can Jack, someone might be able to recognize the maker.  A number of builders used  Paris barrels back in the day, including Carl Pippert, Rudi Bahr and George Stanford, if it's made by one of them you have a very nice rifle.

Just found inside the patch box the stamped name - W E  Van Tassel and under the name is stamped Be mont. Could this be the builder? If so how about some info on this person. Thanks
